Purpose Statement

Our committee works together to provide other HR Professionals with the tools and resources to:


  • Manage challenging conversations about diversity & inclusion to successful outcomes
  • Connect the importance of diversity & inclusion to business results
  • Bring to light their own unseen biases and address these in their workplaces


To accomplish these goals, we:


  • Provide periodic educational opportunities for our chapter members
  • Offer a variety of relevant information and resources



Definitions of Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity as the “collective mixture of differences and similarities that includes for example, individual and organizational characteristics, values, beliefs, experiences, backgrounds, preferences, and behaviors.”

Inclusion as the “achievement of a work environment in which all individuals are treated fairly and respectfully, have equal access to opportunities and resources, and can contribute fully to the organization’s success.”
