Our Panelists

Emily Ruelle, Google

Emily has over 10 years' HR experience in hospitality, banking and tech. She is currently a People Partner and the Washington State HR Lead for Google in Seattle. She's had varying HR experiences, including being a one-stop-shop HR function at a small community bank, to helping rapidly grow one of Seattle's sweetheart tech companies, Tableau Software. She likes to joke that she's Goldilocks-ing... having tried small, medium, and now large, companies on for size.

Lara McLeod, Zillow

Lara McLeod is a Senior Equity & Belonging Pathways Program Manager at Zillow Group, managing and leading company efforts around Equity & Belonging education, engagement, and innovation. Prior to joining Zillow Group, Lara started her career at Microsoft. A writer by trade, she spent her first few years as an Xbox UX Writer before pivoting her career to focus on making workplace cultures more diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Lara's passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion extends beyond her Zillow Group profession. She serves on Advisory Boards for City Year Seattle, VECTRE VR, and RISE - a National Civil Rights Nonprofit. She also serves as a sexual assault advocate, driving groundbreaking federal legislation for sexual assault survivors.
