When Women Thrive in the Workplace

Mercer consulting will join us to discuss their research into the careers, health and wealth of women and share with us their extensive work towards understanding and furthering the success of women in the workplace.  We will learn about women in leadership, disparities in pay and leadership opportunity and ultimately how to align your organization to more successfully attract and retain top female talent.

Natalie Schermer is an Associate consultant in Mercer Seattle’s Communication and Change business. She works with clients on a wide range of HR communication issues and focuses on developing overarching communication strategies and translating complex concepts and information into employee-friendly language and materials. Natalie has helped clients with a wide variety of HR-related communications, focusing on everything from benefits and retirement plans to compensation and job structures to total rewards as a whole, as well as providing communication support for corporate transactions, including pre-announce and post-announce strategy. Natalie’s clients have included leading companies in the technology, pharmaceutical, automobile, banking, food services and senior living industries. Natalie has run the Pacific Northwest chapter of Mercer’s women’s business resource group, Women@Mercerfor two years. Under her tenure, the chapter has established an office-wide W@M book club, organized a panel discussion with female leaders in the Seattle office, and planned an event to promote Equal Pay Day. Currently, the chapter has a male allies training and a charitable partnership with Dress for Success in the works. Natalie graduated from Lawrence University summa cum laude and holds a B.A. in English and French.
